Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of questionable actions involving female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
