Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a senior official has suffered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was required to head back to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
