Homages Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.
Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the pair.
A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director
Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his deep grief.
"Adequate time has gone by that I can now articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."
The actor posted archival material from the film, adding that he could not remember "one day without laughter".
"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes wrote.
He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."
Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator
In a different piece, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.
"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.
Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.
"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.
Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed
In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the LAPD.
A legal directive placed a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.
The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a record noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial remarks that were broadly criticized by several individuals.
Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors recently. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "shocking" and remarked they demonstrated a concerning lack of empathy.
Rogan finished by proposing that an aide should have stepped in when the decision to speak on the tragedy was made.
